One death was on the small island of barba. About 90 of buildings and cars there have been destroyed. Irma is unleashing winds and rain on puerto rico and could make landfall in florida this weekend. Cars are lined up on the highways as people heed the warnings to get out. This is a much stronger storm that we have anticipated. Its stronger than what we experienced in the past, and its better to be safe than sorry. Florida has begun activating its National Guard with 7,000 members being told to report for duty on friday.
