BRANCH COUNTY, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater bowling teams split with Pennfield on Wednesday at M-66 Bowl. The Coldwater boys took a close win 15 1/2 to 14 ½ while the Coldwater girls suffered their second loss of the season as they were beaten by Pennfield 17-13.
The Coldwater boys split the regular games, winning game one 940-880, losing game two 855-848, but they took totals 1788-1735. They also split the Baker games, winning game one 197-166, losing game two 193-131, and losing totals 359-328. Coldwater was led on the night by Dayten Yearling with games 221 and 237 for a 2 game total of 458, Austin Johnson chipped in with a 201 game.
COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Cardinals swept Jackson Lumen Christi in high school bowling at Midway Lanes on Thursday afternoon by scores of 24-6 in the boys match and 26-4 in the girls match.
The Coldwater Boys won both regular games 796-646 and 890-670, taking totals 1686-1316. Coldwater was led by Dayten Yearling with a 200 and a 177 for a 377 series and Austin Johnson with a 222 game. The boys split the Baker games, Coldwater winning game one – 216-115, and losing game two – 141-140, taking totals 356-256
The Coldwater Girls took both regular games 708-678 and 745-657, taking totals 1453-1335. The Cardinals also won the Baker games – 168 to 118 and 162-110, taking totals 330-228.
COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater Bowlers split with Marshall on Tuesday afternoon at Midway Lanes as the boys lost their first match of the season while the girls improved to 3-0.
The Boys match ended in a 15-15 tie but Marshall won the one game Baker Roll off 220-169 as the Cardinals record dropped to 2-1.
Coldwater won the two regular games 778-752 and 756 to 743 to take totals 1534-1495. Marshall won the both Baker games 130-177 and 156-185 as well the totals 286-362.
Coldwater was led on the night by Senior Dayten Yearling with a 224 game and a 369 two game series. Austin Johnson chipped in with a 191 game.
