Author: Breckenridge Police A Brainerd man who admitted to helping set a fire at the Minneapolis Police Department s Third Precinct during last May s riots has been sentenced.  Dylan Robinson, 23, pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit arson in December 2020, and on Wednesday, April 28, he was sentenced to 48 months (four years) in prison, the U.S. Attorney s Office announced.  Robinson went to the Third Precinct on May 28, 2020, a few days after George Floyd was murdered by police, and breached a fence at the precinct. He lit an object held by an unidentified co-conspirator, who then threw it toward the Third Precinct building.

KSTP Created: March 12, 2021 05:00 PM An Austin, Minnesota, man has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for the distribution of child pornography.  According to a release from the U.S. Attorney s Office, 53-year-old Phillip Arlan Koontz pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography on Jan. 22 and was sentenced Thursday afternoon to a sentence of 20 years in prison and 20 years of supervised release.  The sexual exploitation of children is a heinous crime, one deserving of a lengthy prison sentence, acting Minnesota U.S. Attorney Anders Folk said. Here in Minnesota we are fortunate to have dedicated federal, state, and local investigators who are committed to seeking justice for those who abuse and exploit innocent children.
