When asked what was the weirdest thing he had to make into a lamp, Kirk Hall didn t hesitate. A cow milker, he said and laughed.
Promptly, Hall provided the proof as he showed off a photograph of the milking machine that originally attached to cows udders and was transformed into a table lamp.
Over the last 44 years of working as a custom repair technician for House of Andala Lamp Shoppe on Miami Street in South Bend, Hall has seen his fair share of odd asks, fixes and refurbishments. He estimates he completes about 80 to 100 repairs a month inside his small workshop at the local store.
