But lets get into the details of what this study encompassed at this point. The study was led by the San Francisco firefighters Cancer Prevention foundation. That began three weeks after firefighters returned home from the tubbs fire back in 2017. Now altogether 148 firefighters volunteered to take part in the study providing information from length of service to the amount of times they washed their hands before eating so this is a very detailed study. The foundation decided to put together the study citing concerns about the level of toxic chemical expose for firefighters that battled the fire, part of napa and sonoma and lake cnties.
