Man admits possessing cocaine after crashing car into bus 43-year-old remanded in custody
A Douglas man will be sentenced next month after he crashed into a bus and fled the scene while carrying wraps of cocaine.
Forty-three-year-old Christopher Richard Corrin of Anagh Coar Road appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse via a live videolink from the Isle of Man prison.
He pleaded guilty to disqualified driving, having no tax or insurance, failing to stop after a crash accident and possessing cocaine with intent to supply the class A drug on 2 February.
Prosecution Advocate James Robinson withdrew a charge of failing to provide a blood sample to police.

A local woman was handed a suspended sentence for fraudulently claiming nearly £35,000 of benefits in the Isle of Man. Jessica Lynn Cracknell of Anagh Coar pleaded guilty to eight counts of making false representations in order to obtain benefits at Douglas courthouse on 4 December 2020. The 31-year-old admitted falsely claiming income support and employed person allowance on the Island between November 2017 and December 2019. The Douglas woman failed to declare she was being financially supported by her ex-partner from the outset of her claim and had received benefits totalling £34,848.61, to which she was not entitled. Ms Cracknell received a 12 month sentence at Douglas courthouse on 4 February 2021, which was suspended for 18 months and she was ordered to pay costs.
Jet ski Romeo Dale McLaughlan is heading home for Christmas.
Self-employed roofer Mr McLaughlan was among six foot passengers who boarded this morning’s Ben-my-Chree sailing to Heysham.

Mr McLaughlan was released from Isle of Man Prison this morning after serving just under half of his four week prison term for breaching the island’s Covid entry regulations.
He made headlines worldwide after he travelled from Scotland to the Isle of Man by jet ski to see his girlfriend Jessica Radcliffe.
He arrived at the Sea Terminal just after 8am this morning, escorted to the departure gate by a member of the prison staff.

This is the moment a lovesick roofer from Scotland arrived in the island by jet ski - to see his girlfriend.
Dale McLaughlan, 28, has been jailed for four weeks for breaching the island’s emergency powers Covid regulations.
These pictures were taken by Noel Corlett as the jet skier arrived in Ramsey harbour on Friday. He is sporting a hat with the Scottish flag and a backpack.
McLaughlan had purchased the jet ski the day before and then towed it 70 miles from his home in Irvine, North Ayrshire, to a beach on the Isle of Whithorn.
