Ann, Carl Myers donate $350K for new mental health clinic in Avon Donation to the Foundation for Noyes Health matches state grant Staff reports DANSVILLE The Foundation for Noyes Health on Monday announced a donation of $350,000 from Ann and Carl Myers of Springwater. The donation matches a previous grant of $348,500 from New York state to partially fund the construction of an out-patient mental health clinic in Avon, an expansion of Noyes Health’s current Health and Wellness clinic in Dansville. The Myers’ previously donated $2 million to the capital campaign to build a cancer treatment center at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. Since the Ann and Carl Myers Cancer Center opened in January 2017, the Center has seen more than 10,000 medical and radiation oncology visits a year, with patients from all over the Genesee Valley and beyond getting the expert care of UR Medicine’s Wilmot Cancer Institute.

Fairfield Community High School Superintendent Jill Fulkerson has announced FCHS will move to remote learning on Monday. She said the school has found it impossible to continue quality in-person learning with its current staff situation. Teachers will help students prepare for the final week of learning today, and students will return to school on January 4 th. The Fairfield Park Board met last night and approved a minimum wage increase to $11 per hour, effective January 1 st, to comply with the state’s increase. The board also authorized the seeking of bids for a golf course mower, and it set meeting dates in 2021 for the second Thursday of each month, except July, which will be the third Thursday.
