Eldon junior Jesiah Simmons and School of the Osage senior Zach Green will make up 50 percent of the semifinals at 113 pounds in the Class 2 boys wrestling state championships. Simmons and Green both had 2-0 records Wednesday night on the opening day of the state tournament at Mizzou Arena, clinching state medals.
Senior Zachary Green and junior Amos Mundy punched their tickets to the Class 2 State Tournament for the School of the Osage boys wrestling team that finished in ninth place on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Class 2, District 3 Tournament at Eldon High School.
The Blair Oaks Falcons had a pair of individual champions in taking second in the team standings in the Class 2 District 3 Tournament that concluded Saturday. Nolan Laughlin at 138 pounds and Cole Peters at 285 claimed titles for the Falcons.
