Thats a miracle of modern technology and it will either work or not work. Its very tricky. So somebody may go down, somebody may have a time delay, which is happening with one of our three guests. I guess its analogous to the quadruple somersault ringling brothers done by Miguel Vasquez in 1982. So please bear with us, well have problems from time to tim so please bear with us, well have problems from time to time, but we have an Excellent Team of techies, i know, because i cant understand anything they say. And it is now my pleasure to introduce our interviewer, roger cohen, the op ed columnist for the New York Times. Thank you. [applause] good morning, ladies and gentlemen. So were going to rely on much maligned technology to try and bring this about. And ignore who ever may or may not be listening. I think its fair to say that in the media landscape there is before and after Edward Snowden, his revelations about global n. S. A. Data vacuuming, backed with concrete evidence, the feel
Plans. Fema ships those every week. Now thats along with esper, assistant secretary for response at hhs. We announced yesterday, what we talked about a little bit last week and that is federal surge sites. We opened these in three communities. There was a list of communities identified by dr. Birx and her team that had certain characteristics of their infection trend but also met certain characteristics of numerical numbers in isolation that surge testing might have an impact over a short period of time. So our goal in those communities is to do at least 5,000 tests per day and those are in baton rouge, jacksonville, and mccowan in texas. Again, this is a partnership with the state and local governments to make that happen. Theyre up and running with testing in all three sites. Baton rouge started yesterday, the other two sites start today. And we also have almost 6,500 appointments already made this morning so thats going very, very well. The last thing i want to talk about is phoenix
Wash your hands. They dont do it. They think it is a hoax. Anybody thinks this is a hoax should come spend the day with me here. We crossed 3 million cases. Hospitals are being pushed to the brink of capacity, and yet the president is publicly dismissing the warnings and recommendations of his top Infectious Disease experts while also threatening to cut funding to schools if they cannot reopen. Strides in these various communities. One of them i feel is in the africanamerican community. The president has reached out to this community during his first term as president in a number of ways, whether its historically black colleges, a permanent funding stream, whether its enterprise zones or school choice, we could go on and on and in four years i would argue hes done more than obama and biden did in eight years and more than clinton and gore did. The democrats are good at talking about what theyre going to do for various communities and yet they never produce. Im very excited to have as a guest tonight Candace Owens. She is a fabulous new book called blackout. Candace and my right or wrong about the president s outreach to the black community. You are correct, and i completely predicted about three years ago that we are going to see this in 2020 and what we are seeing now on the left is a desperation because they are realizing that he has shaken their foundation, their foundatio
