Bossier City officials are considering a proposal to give a pay bonus from federal funds to police officers and other city workers, thanks to the American Rescue Fund. Mayor Tommy Chandler proposed using nearly 2 million dollars to pay for these premium pay allowances for full time employees of the city. These workers must have been employed on or before April 10, 2023, and must have remained employed as full time employees through the effective date of the ordinance.
