Skip Barber, Lime Rock legend and owner of the park, has announced that he has sold the race track to an investment group.
He s been the owner and the hands on guy at Lime Rock Park for 37 years, now things are changing and being restructured as Skip Barber has sold the park to an investment group.

Now don t panic, the park is not closing or turning into a strip mall, the investment group who purchased the park are big fans of the track and seem to want to preserve what makes Lime Rock special, while also prepping the track to survive for years to come. Skip Barber, who s now 84 years old, will still be involved with the tracks day to day operations as part of the new Lime Rock Group, LLC. LeeBoy has done just that, taking the leap to trick out its 8520B heavy-commercial asphalt paver for a Raised On Blacktop special edition. It is designed to pay tribute to family-owned paving companies, as well as help promote the asphalt paving industry.
