I think the first thing you have to say is i certainly welcome, i think many people welcome the fact that the president has come forward with a new strategy four afghanistan without timelines and with a commitment to a great cause. I think that there are there is a moral component to this as well. There is a lot of progress. I think that does not get a lot of coverage on this. And so for us to risk letting all of dad go with the price way too high. We have been working on this for a long time. I have been working with ambassador wayne and the Senior Advisor here. We have done a lot of things with the ambassador. We have got a very good panel to cover the issues today but i think the other point i want to make is, you cant solve the challenges of afghanistan without diplomacy and without development. We will actually be following the panel. You may wonder why we have the governor speaking after us. The answer is travel considerations. Fortunately although this panel is not obligated to confine their remarks to the governors proposal the governors did put out a letter last week that is really quite easy to summarize. Ill summarize the major points so everyone has a basic grounding in what is governors are talking about and to some extend what the panel will be talk about as well. We are in Central Florida in the orlando area and at this time, shelters started opening up today at 9 00 and many are already in line at the shelters being processed in. Shelves arestores bare because people are getting muchneeded supplies. I have to tell you, as we watch the unfortunate incident in texas over the last couple weeks, people are just more started theirly preparation earlier than usual. It appears that those that are evacuation,d under have already begun the process. While we arent exactly sure right now, we are watching the track, it looks like the storm is determined to make the south to north turn, it is traveling more west but we are still watching and waiting. What the president understands, and i think the biggest adjustment we have to do is there are multiple pathways to the prosperity and apprenticeship is one of them. Community college etc. And the workforce innovation and opportunity that is a joint venture between the department of education and the department of labor. But it does is end and that the collaboration between the two agencies. One more quick example weve done a lot of collaboration and redesign in high school for the career Technical Education so the sixyear High School Model that some of you in the audience and twitter may have seen is a remarkable example of how to create pathways to the middle class.
