caravaners? well, good morning and happy thanksgiving, brian. that s the point. when you are looking at people that have truly invaded, they have stormed the southern border of mexico and they are coming and traversing through. now we hear the people in tijuana saying the exact same things that we have had other people in america say. that they there are gang members. that they are concerned about wages being depressed. they are concerned about other crimes and nefarious activities being taken. they are not looking for these people to stay there and just squat in tijuana. the interesting thing is that this caravan aimed toward tijuana, why? because california is a sanctuary state. for illegal immigration. and i m sure that s where they re looking to cross into. brian: they are. going to see if catch and detain works right now while we wait for a wall and wait for comprehensive immigration reform. the people of texas in particular, i know it s not a clear number that want a wall. but

know, on twitter, with chuck jones, and it seems like they both want the same thing, so, why do you think why don t you think mr. trump didn t have that positive conversation with chuck jones? i think we need a wonderful system so that factories in america say, of course i m going to build in america. and that s going to happen because of the tax reform in the first hundred days. that s going to happen because of the rollback in regulations in the first hundred days. and what s going to happen is companies will all of a sudden say, wait a second, we have a different environment, it makes sense to build here. but, drew and also, a lot more american factories are going to grow and they re not going to build overseas. we want companies not to grow and build in ireland or europe or mexico. we want them to always build in america. and i think that s what governor pence was talking with me about yesterday, face-to-face.
when mexico sends the people, they are not sending the best. and his blunt and some say bigoted behavior is met with outrage and unstoppable rise in the republican primary poll numbers. and frankly, i am the most solid person up here. reporter: will he win the white house next year or will america say, you re fired. and the question is who and what will top the list next year. jake tapper, cnn, washington. jake, thank you so much, and there is no way of predicting that if this year is any example. if you heading out for the holidays today, safe travels. thank you for joining us this hour. hour. legal view starts right now. captions by vitac www.vitac.com this is kr c nshis cnn brea i m alison kosik in for ashleigh banfield.
