It is expected to be a fiery discussion, republicans trying to stop the agreement and force a president ial veto. Democrats say they have the votes to block a resolution from reaching the president s desk. We are live in washington this morning. Libby, the president now has 42 senators supporting the deal. Does this mean that Senate Democrats will definitely filibuster to block any vote on the issue . As we know here in congress, nothings done until its really done. That 42 number is crucial for the white house because technically that is enough democrats to stop republicans from even bringing a disapproval resolution to the floor of the senate.
