NSF MMT: New Market FC, Shillong Lajong FC enter semis

Our Correspondent Kohima, Oct.22 (EMN): New Market FC and Shillong Lajong FC booked their semi-final berths at the ongoing 22nd NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy organised by Angami Students’ Union on Saturday night in Kohima. New Market defeated Red Scars FC with a margin of 3-1 playing the third quarter-final match. Within the kick-off whistle, Petevizo Kezio fired in the first goal for New Market FC in the 48th second which has been recorded as the fastest goal of the tournament so far. Despite the equaliser goal from the boots of Elminhao Kilong for Red Scars in the 15th minute, the determined New Market FC was quick enough to take the lead again when Yhunshalo Kemp struck in the second goal during the 35th minute. Talisman Rhitsho Mero then netted in the third goal for New Market in the 87th minute to seal their victory.
