The Supreme Court has postponed the bail plea hearing of Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia in a liquor policy irregularities case to October 12. The court observed that Sisodia cannot be considered the main offender without the transfer and possession of funds. It criticized the Enforcement Directorate for bringing Sisodia under the money laundering act, stating that there is no money trail leading back to him.
CJI further noted that the state cannot discriminate against an individual on the basis of a characteristic over which the individual does not have control.
