<b>Alyn Shipton</b> is a writer, publisher, broadcaster, jazz musician. He has hosted music programmes on BBC Radio 3 in the UK since 1989. His previous books include the award-winning <i>Groovin’ High: The Life of Dizzy Gillespie</i> (1999) and <i>Nilsson: The Life of a Singer Songwriter</i> (2013). He is currently lecturer in jazz history and research fellow at the Royal Academy of Music.<br/>
