proceed from the palace of holyroodhouse to the cathedral. king charles iii and the queen consort will travel from london to the scottish capital for that service. the public will also be able to pay their respects when the queen s coffin remains in the cathedral until tuesday. in the days ahead, the queen s casket will travel to buckingham palace in london and then to westminster hall, where the queen will lie in state until her funeral next monday. edinburgh marks the first leg of the queen s final journey, then. there are crowds of mourners on the streets on sunday to pay their respects.
