Alva’s College of Engineering in Mangaluru has opened a cafeteria run by differently abled persons from Manipur, as part of an inclusive approach to provide employment opportunities. The cafeteria, named 'The Taste of North East', serves delicacies of the northeast and will be inaugurated on the International Day of Disabled Persons. The project is led by cyclist and social activist Philem Rohan Singh. If successful, the initiative may be extended to other college campuses.
