River Dragons: Lloyd Hopkins Field facelift underway Dominic Genetti, dominic.genetti@hearst.com FacebookTwitterEmail Lloyd Hopkins Field is going from community baseball field to collegiate ballpark as the Alton River Dragons of the Prospect League inch closer to the beginning of their inaugural season. From an all-inclusive party deck to signage, from concession stands to souvenir stands Alton baseball fans are going to see their local ballyard go from simple to buffed up.  Everything s changing as we evolve to opening day, River Dragons owner Steve Marso said. People are going to come out here. Marso added that experience and events in addition to baseball are two lures that will bring fans out to the games.
