Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt has filed charges against three people who were arrested following unrest on May Day.
Two separate groups took to the street Saturday night and clashed with law enforcement, prompting authorities to declare a riot downtown and an unlawful assembly in south Portland.
Phoebe Loomis is facing one count of felony riot and three counts of criminal mischief in the first degree. Police say that Loomis is accused of destroying windows at three Starbucks locations and at least one other business. According to the DA s office, the damage at each business is estimated to cost more than $1,000.
