Thousands of Longleng town citizens dressed in colourful attire participated in the carol singing competition on December 14, heralding Christmas season. According to a DIPR report, the carol singing competition was organised by Longleng Town Council under the aegis of, ADC Longleng, Alongdhimen Jamir, & Administrator, Longleng Town Council.
Kohima, September 16 (MExN): The Swachhata League 2.0 (two weeks) programme under Swachh Bharat Mission organised by Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) in collaboration with the Jakhama Baptist Fellowship, Kohima was launched on September 16.
In an effort to encourage citizens to donate unused items such which can be refurbished, reused, or recycled to create new ones, the municipal and town councils in the state launched the Reduce, Reuse and Recycle (RRR) centres in their respective councils on May 20.
RRR Centre launched- Longleng Town Council (LTC) DIMAPUR Longleng Town Council (LTC) launched the RRR Centre on May 20 in its office premises during a programme chaired by the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) and administrator of LTC, Alongdhimen Jamir. Speaking on the occasion, the SDO of Longleng, Trongdiba Tongpi Sangtam, exhorted the gathering on the importance of such centre. He suggested that similar centres should be set up in all existing wards with the support of ward leaders and public. The brief presentation was given by Isaac, MIS of Swatch Bharat Mission, Longleng. He stated that RRR centre is a conceptualised one stop solution for sustainable waste management and promoting a clean town.
