Western Railway continues to serve the nation by running Oxygen Express trains

Keeping in pace with Indian Railways efforts of running Oxygen Express trains to various states across the country, Western Railway has run one more Oxygen Express carrying Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO) on May 5, 2021 thereby strengthening the united fight against COVID-19 and for bringing relief to the COVID patients. Till now, Western Railway has run total five Oxygen Express trains transporting 476.51 tonnes LMO. Alok Kansal, General Manager, Western Railway is closely monitoring the running of these trains due to which these trains are being run by giving top priority. They are provided through corridors for smooth and faster movement. It has resulted in running of Oxygen Express trains at higher speed of 50-53 kmph.
Central Railway GM asks railway hospitals to ensure availability of medicines, C-19 related items 24x7

Mumbai: As part of Central Railway (CR)âs ongoing contribution to the fight against Covid-19, Alok Kansal, General Manager, CR has instructed the medical heads of railway hospitals in Mumbai and other divisions to ensure medicines and Covid related items are available at any given time.
Kansal held a virtual meeting to review the Covid preparedness on CR with principal heads of departments and Divisional Railway Managers on May 6, during which he discussed the supply of oxygen, medicines, daily consumption and stock in hand.

Western Railway with its commitment towards the nation, have continued to ensure that essential commodities are made available across the country, during this difficult time of corona pandemic. It is a matter of honour that WR is able to contribute its services to the nation by supply of not just general essential commodities, but also most urgent medicines & medical equipment too. In continuation to this, Western Railway has run 46 parcel trains in April 2021 till 18th April, 2021 to transport essential commodities to various parts of the country.

Alok Kansal â General Manager of Western Railway undertook the inspection of Rajkot Division recently. During his visit, Kansal conducted a thorough inspection of Rajkot Division and reviewed various infrastructural works being carried out.
He also met Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Rambhai Mokariya and discussed in detail about the issues pertaining to Western Railway in Rajkot region.
According to Sumit Thakur â Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railways, WR GM reviewed infrastructure, electrification and safety/security works and other developments taken up by Rajkot Division in financial year 2020-21.
