The Supreme Court bench said that the object and purpose of Madrassa board is regulatory in nature and the Allahabad high court is 'not prima facie correct that establishment of board will breach secularism'.
The Court held that a brothel customer would not be liable under Sections 3-9 of the Act, which concerns offences related to the practice of prostitution.
The assistant professor had filed a case against her three senior colleagues under the SC/ST Act and had accused them of voyeurism and criminal intimidation, among other charges.
The bench said there are certain legal issues which have arisen and questioned the 'vague' application made before the high court for appointment of a court commissioner for the survey.
