An advocate from Ayodhya had filed a PIL alleging that there were encroachments on land given to the Indian Army. The Court, however, disposed of the lawyer's PIL decided to take it up as a suo motu case.
A bench led by CJI DY Chandrachud said that the Court had dealt with the matter in the Ayodhya judgment and asked the petitioner to either withdraw the petition or have it dismissed.
