Flaying the BJP for breaking down the economy of Kashmir, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday (December 29) asserted that her party would fight for their rights. Addressing a party function in Srinagar, Mufti said, We will fight for our rights. We are not among those who would raise white flags. No matter how far BJP goes in breaking down Kashmir s economy and making us dependent, we will not surrender.

‘I refused to agree to denying bodies of slain militants to families’
SRINAGAR, Dec 29: Peoples Democratic Party chief and former chief minister, Mehbooba Mufti, today made a startling revelation about “BJP’s reason” to “break alliance with the PDP” in June 2018. She said that the BJP was miffed because she didn’t accept the proposals of “not handing over the bodies of slain militants to their families for last rites” and of “a major crackdown against Jamaat-e-Islami”.
She also said that closing doors for the All Parties Delegation (APD) by the Hurriyat leaders set a bad precedent across India and her party would continue to vouch for the resolution of Kashmir issue through dialogue between India and Pakistan.
