It may well be the marquee event of awards season at Aspen High School: Monday night’s senior awards and local scholarship ceremony recognized the accomplishments of the class of 2021 with dozens of honors and funds for college.
All told, 81 seniors walked away with more than $350,000 in college scholarships from nearly 40 local donor groups, according to Susanne Morrison, the administrative coordinator at Aspen High School’s post-secondary counseling department. Students also scored hundreds of thousands of dollars from regional and national awards, some of which include full ride scholarships for all four years of college (see sidebar).

MISSOULA â Not only is it a highly-regarded honor, but it is very difficult to be selected.
But for two Hellgate High School seniors who were recently chosen to the All-National Honor Ensemble, it all comes down to the music.
Cellist Grace Gibson-Snyder and Alto Saxophone player Veronica Stimpfling have gained national recognition thanks to their amazing talent.
âThere are 12 cellists, so Iâm one of 12. Iâm proud of it for sure,â Gibson-Snyder said.
YES virtual meeting set for next week

The Del Mar Union School District has scheduled parent information webinars regarding its Spanish Language Immersion Program in kindergarten and first grade. To apply for the program, parents or guardians must attend one of the webinars.
