Musicians from Ambridge, Beaver & Moon earn all-state, national honors

Beaver High junior Rebecca Mizer qualified for the separate National Association for Music Association s All-Eastern Division Concert Band, which will include a performance at the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, Calif., on New Year s Day. The NAfME All-Eastern Division includes musicians from 11 states, the District of Columbia, and Europe, who performed in a virtual festival in March. Science and Culture: At the nexus of music and medicine, some see treatments for disease

As part of an NIH-funded experiment, soprano Renée Fleming underwent a functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) scan of her brain in 2017.
