New Delhi: The farmers’ unions protesting against the Centre’s agricultural reform laws on Sunday decided to go ahead with their proposed tractor parade in the national capital on Republic Day. The decision by the unions has come just a day before the Supreme Court will hear the Centre’s petition seeking an injunction against the proposed tractor rally or any other kind of protest that seeks to disrupt the celebrations on January 26.

The Supreme Court-appointed committee on the three new farm laws is scheduled to hold its first meeting with members today at Pusa campus in New Delhi.
Anil Ghanwat, a member of the SC-appointed committee said, We are going to meet tomorrow. Only members will meet to discuss the terms of reference and decide the future course of action.
New Delhi, Jan 18: While hearing the Centre's plea against the proposed tractor rally by farmers on Republic Day, the Supreme Court on Monday said that entry into Delhi is a law and order issue and the police should determine who should be allowed the entry and on what conditions.

New Delhi: Two days ahead of the Supreme Court s hearing on the ongoing farmers’ agitation, a farmers union on Saturday urged the top court to withdraw the three members of the committee set up by it on January 12 to resolve the impasse over the three contentious farm laws and appoint members who are impartial, not aligned with any political party and have the trust and goodwill of the farmers.
New Delhi [India], January 17 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday is scheduled to hear that the Central government's application seeking an injunction against the proposed tractor rally or any other kind of protest which sought to disrupt the gathering and celebrations of the Republic Day on January 26.
