I was in the rotunda during todays memorial and had a chance to speak to some of the people who knew him best. They agreed this celebration of life was respectful, classy, and at times full of life and laughter just like ed lee himself. A Wild Police Chase ends on highway 101 in tran, it even involved a chp helicopter landing on the freeway. One of our news crews was on the way to another story as it unfolded. Alisa harrington spoke to a witness who saw the chase and the chp officer who helped pull the man back over the railing. Reporter this is the moment chp officers and Good Samaritans pulled a man to safety on highway 101 in San Francisco. He was dangling from the guardrail of the overpass near the Caesar Chavez street exit, a 30foot drop. My grip was loosening and he would have gone over the side without the help of the Good Samaritans. Reporter drivers hung out of car windows and watched as chp helicopter landed in the northbound lanes. The pilot helped take that man into custody.
