So, now theyre banning together to tell Insurance Companies as a group that it takes longer than 24 months to rebuild a community. 5,300 homes burns. We are rebuilding at an unprecedented rate and weve only rebuilt 18 . So, how are they not getting that it takes more than 24 months . We dont understand. Thats why were having this rally today. The state insurance commissioner has written to Insurance Companies once in may and again this week asking them to extend benefits for families who were still rebuilding beyond the twoyear period stated in their policy. But thats all he can do. The commissioner does not have the power to make Insurance Companies cover policies longer than the minimum set in state law. Happened around 8 00 last night. While we wont you show you which house out of the familys privacy, it happened here in Mountain View where police say a rental dispute turned violent. Take a look at the familys front door. You can see where someone was kicking and hitting it to break it down and get inside monday night. Extra frightening, because just before the pounding and kicking started, the power suddenly went how fast. When they arrived there, one individual turned off the electricity in the home in an attempt to scare them out. A second individual actually used a knife to try to break through the front door. Reporter Mountain View Police Arrested these five people including the landlord herself, for, among other charges, breaking and entering and assault with a deadly weapon. A neighbor said he heard it happen. I was cooking dinner, and i heard the commotion. I saw the i mean, im hearing banging. I varisaid, hey, knock that off. Police say the violence was over a rental dispute.
