Set nearly a decade after the original Nickelodeon series takes place, the Paramount+ revival picks back up with Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove) now that she’s reached adulthood. In addition to reviving her old web show, the series also finds Carly, her family, and friends attempting to navigate work, love, and life as they put on a revamped version of the show that turned her into the original influencer.
Joining Cosgrove for the revival are original series stars Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress, who will reprise their roles as Carly’s brother Spencer, and bestie Freddie Benson, respectively.
The series also stars newcomers Laci Mosely, who will play Carly’s roommate, Harper, and Jaidyn Triplett, Freddie’s stepdaughter.
Paramount+ renews iCarly revival for a second season

The iCarly revival series starring a returning Miranda Cosgrove has been renewed for a second season on Paramount+.
ADVERTISEMENT The massive hit #iCarly is renewed for season 2! Who else needs some Skybucks to celebrate? the official Twitter account for the show said on Thursday alongside a cast photo featuring Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor, Nathan Kress, Laci Mosley and Jaidyn Triplett.
The renewal comes after the iCarly revival came to Paramount+ in June. Seven episodes of Season 1 are available, with new episodes arriving every Thursday.
The original iCarly ran for five seasons from 2007 to 2021 on Nickelodeon. Cosgrove reprises her role as Carly with Trainor back as Spencer and Kress as Freddie.
