One person is dead at the burning man festival and tens of thousands of others are stranded in the desert after severe rains flooded the festival grounds. Ktvu s Bailey Ocarroll joins us now. Shes in the newsroom. Bailey, you heard from two of the attendees. What did they tell you about the conditions out there . Thats right. Julie i spoke to john gaines. Hes a burning man, seasoned pro at this point. It marked his 21st year at the festival this year. We also heard from eileen lelchuk snyder. This was her first year out there. Both said the same thing. The situation, of course, unprecedented, but they did say that everyones rallying together to help each other out. An unusual late summer storm turned what was supposed to be a week away at burning man into this. This is eileen lelchuk snyder, first time at burning man, and now shes stuck in the nevada desert.
