John Andrew Trana, 41, of Monroe, SD passed away at his home on February 24, 2022. John was born to Marvin and Judith Trana on April 2, 1980 in Alexandria MN. He began piano lessons at a young age and excelled, as well as learning to play the First Lutheran Church organ. After graduating from Alexandria’s Jefferson High School (being very active in band and marching band, where he played both trombone and saxophone) in 1998 he went on to attend UND in Grand Forks, ND and SDSU in Brookings, SD. In 2006 he married Kristin Olsen. This marriage gave fruit to their two daughters, whom he loved very much and tried to raise properly with a passion. At the time of his death John was employed by Minnehaha County as their IT security specialist. It was a job he loved and excelled at. John had his CDL hazmat license for over-the-road trucking which was only used for a short time so he could be home close to his growing family. As a young man, John started to learn to fly, but never finished as
