KRISTIAN Woolf believes the referees have been left to deal with too many rule changes in a short period of time leading to inconsistencies in the way the six again restart rule has been applied. And the Saints coach has called for his side to be refereed at the same standard as other teams after surveying data on the speed of the play the balls from the opening rounds of the season.

The England Knights front rower rolled his ankle in the opening stages of the Challenge Cup clash against Leeds Rhinos and initially tried to play on with it. It is a big blow for the 23-year-old who had started the season looking stronger after adding 5 kilos. Coach Kristian Woolf said: The surgery was a success, but it is going to be somewhere in the vicinity of 10 or 11 weeks out. It is positive but it could be more positive.
