It was far from a masterpiece but the Prince George Spruce Kings find themselves in the win column at the Chilliwack hub.
A two-goal second period from Christian Buono and Ben LeFranc paced the Spruce Kings to a 3-2 victory on Easter Sunday against the Merritt Centennials.

Kolton Cousins chopped home a goalmouth scramble past Merritt netminder Josh Dias at 10:32 of the first period to give PG a 1-0 advantage.
Seven minutes later, former Kamloops Blazer and Saskatoon Blade, Jerzy Orchard went bar-down on Spruce Kings goaltender Jordan Fairlie to even the score at 1-1 after 20 minutes.

As expected, it took awhile for the Prince George Spruce Kings to find their legs, playing a meaningful game for the first time in over a year.

PG was outshot 15-9 after 20 minutes of play but picked up the pace in the final two periods only to be stonewalled by Chiefs netminder Mathieu Caron who made 25 saves in the victory.
