SEMINOLES START UNCONQUERED INVITATIONAL 2-0

Tallahassee, Fla. – The No. 3 Florida State Seminoles started off the Unconquered Invitational 2-0. The Noles beath Southern Miss and conference foe No. 5 LSU on the day.   FSU 5, Southern Miss 0 The Noles came out hot for the first match of the day, sweeping Southern Miss 5-0. Raelyn White and Caitlin Godwin were dominant on court three. The duo took the first set efficiently with a 21-5 win. White and Godwin carried their momentum into the second set and quickly got the win 21-13. Maddie Anderson and Paige Kalkhoff were on a mission on court one. The duo were surgical in both sets, winning 21-15 in the first set and 21-18 in the second set. SEMINOLES END DAY TWO OF TAMPA INVITATIONAL WITH ONLY ONE LOSS

Tampa, Fla, – The second day of the Tampa Invitational Beach Volleyball Tournament kicked off with the No. 2 Florida State Seminoles taking on No. 3 TCU, Florida Gulf Coast and finishing the Invitational off against host Tampa. FSU 1, No. 3 TCU 4 The Seminoles had their biggest test of the season so far facing off against No. 3 TCU and the two teams came to play. On court four the Horned frogs took their first dual point of the match, beating Alexis Durish and Caitlin Moon in two close sets. The first set finished 21-18 and the second set finished 21-16. On court five, Alex Hilton and Makenna Wolfe had a three-set battle. The pair dropped the first set 21-16, then fought back from behind to take the second set 21-17. The third set was back and forth with an incredible effort from Hilton and Wolfe but ultimately ended in favor of TCU, with the Horned Frogs getting the 15-13 win. SEMINOLES START TAMPA INVITATIONAL UNDEFEATED

Tampa, Fla, – The number two ranked Florida State Seminoles started the Tampa Invitational with a 2-0 record defeating No. 6 GCU 4-1, and No. 11 Stetson 5-0. FSU 4, No. 6 GCU 1 The Seminoles carried their momentum from an undefeated opening weekend at home into their first match of the day against No. 6 Grand Canyon. Jordan Polo and Morgan Chacon dominated on court four in the duo’s first pairing of the season. Polo and Chacon quickly took care of business in the first set winning 21-15. The second set was no different as the duo once again took a 21-15 win, giving the Noles’ their first dual point. On court five, Makenna Wolfe and Carra Sassack won the first set easily 21-13. In the second set, GCU fought back and took a close 19-21 win. In the third set, Sassack and Wolfe fought hard and pulled out a 15-13 win. Tallahassee, Fla, – The number two ranked Florida State Seminoles started their annual FSU Beach Bash with a 3-0 record defeating Coastal Carolina, No. 13 Cal Poly, and No. 20 Washington. The Seminoles went unbeaten in all but one game played today. The Seminoles move to 1-0 against Coastal Carolina, 7-0 against Cal Poly and 1-0 against Washington. FSU 5, Coastal Carolina 0 The Seminoles came out ready for their first dual of the season, winning every set against the Chanticleers. The Seminoles spared no time winning the first set on all courts. Courts one, two, and four dominated, refusing to allow Coastal Carolina to take the lead in either set. Maddie Anderson and Paige Kalkhoff won quickly with set one 21-14 and set two 21-12 on court one. Alexis Durish and Raelyn White won 21-13 in both sets on court two.
