(WALB) - The second day of the Albany Police Department’s (APD) “Operation Blue Santa” was a success. The annual program began this year at the Walmart in East Albany on Tuesday. APD officers accompanied 50 children throughout the store with shopping carts and gifted them with dozens of toys. Police said the event is all about interacting with children. They want children to know they are our future and law enforcement are their friends.
