OER summit to focus on opportunities and challenges facing manufacturing sector in Oman By: Times News Service Muscat: OER’s Manufacturing Summit to be held on March 24 will train the spotlight on the opportunities and challenges facing the manufacturing sector in Oman. It will do a deep dive into unlocking the potential of the sector, creating job opportunities and negotiating new found challenges i.e. logistical disruption, shrinking international export markets and enhanced global and regional protectionist policies. OER’s first of its kind manufacturing summit will bring in government officials, C-suite executives, consultants and analysts to discuss a cross-section of issues impacting the manufacturing sector in Oman, possible solutions and the way ahead.

A concerted effort involving specialists and volunteers successfully freed the whale after it was entangled in a net for more than two days. The rescue operation was undertaken by the Environment Authority, Port of Duqm, Five Oceans Environmental Services LLC, Oman s Coast Guard, and the Royal Air Force of Oman, in addition to support from the Oman Stranding Network and the Environment Society (ESO).

CBH updates on green petroleum refinery in Oman 2/1/2021 On the First of July 2020, CBH announced its plans to establish a Green petroleum refinery in the Sultanate of Oman. The refinery design focuses on Transportation Fuels (IMO 2020 compliant fuels for the maritime shipping industry).  The end products are Ultra-Low Sulfur content and with almost ZERO acid gas emission. The production capacity of the refinery is 300,000 barrels per day. The capital investment is around $4.2 billion. CBH is honored by the successful partnership with the Sultanate of Oman. We are determined to make this refinery project a role model for others to follow. CBH is proud to contribute to the socio-economic development in Duqm and to become part of the local community.
