High Court Judicial Commissioner Amelati Parnell set Sept 13–15, 17 and Oct 11-14 for the trial of Anthony Chan Wei Onn during mention of his case on Monday. Chan, an air-conditioner repairman, was accused of trafficking 2,129.1gm of syabu at 6.20pm on July 12, 2019 at the J&T Express premises on the ground floor of Kolam Plaza Phase 1 in Jalan Lintas. ADVERTISEMENT He had on Jan 20, 2020 claimed trial to the charge under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drugs Act, which carries the death sentence or imprisonment for life and whipping not less than 15 strokes if not sentenced to death, on conviction.
