The Kaduna Police Command has described as fake, the news making the rounds on social media that the State Deputy Commissioner of Police went to give firearms to kidnappers.
ASP Mohammad Jalige, Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement said the image in circulation was not that of any Police Officer in Kaduna Command or anywhere in Nigeria.
It stated that the image in circulation is not in any way connected to a Deputy Commissioner of Police in Kaduna as portrayed in the report.
“The attention of the Kaduna State Police Command has been drawn to a fake news making round on social media tagged “Kaduna State Deputy Commissioner of Police went to give firearms to kidnappers; unfortunately he was arrested with them.”
EFCC releases Ex-Imo Gov, Okorocha

Okorocha was released on Thursday evening, according to Daily Trust.
The former Governor is presently at his Maitama residence in Abuja.
DAILY POST recalls that the EFCC invited Okorocha on Tuesday for questioning.
Okorocha, who governed Imo between 2011 and 2019, has been accused of embezzlement and misappropriation of state funds by the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma.
In February, the lawmaker accused Uzodinma of unleashing the EFCC and the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) against him.
Okorocha refuted the allegations, saying the state government had not been able to prove corruption allegations against him and his family in court.

A 71-year-old doctor known as Effiong Udimidue has reportedly been arrested by the Akwa Ibom Police Command after he allegedly secretly took blood samples from the molested student of Deeper Life High School, Uyo, Don Davis Archibong.
Deborah Okezie, mother of the assaulted boy, in a Facebook video on Wednesday, said the doctor was from the Deeper Life School but pretended to be a medical doctor at St Athanasius Hospital.
