North Dakota Bill Would Let Censored Citizens Sue Facebook, Twitter

A proposed bill from Republican state lawmakers in North Dakota could see Facebook and Twitter face lawsuits from users who have been censored on their platforms. Some experts argue the law would have no effect due to Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (CDA), the law that enables the Big Tech Masters of the Universe to enjoy legal immunity in cases related to censorship.

Someone Said Trump s Pardons Could Be Challenged in Court…and Got Wrecked Over It

Share Source: AP Photo/Alex Brandon So, when will Trump derangement syndrome subside? The 2020 election is over. It should be in its last throes, but not for some people. You have folks like Seth Abramson peddling total nonsense about Trump, pardon powers, and the Constitution. Apparently, presidential pardons can be reviewed by the courts. I’m not a lawyer, but you don’t need to be one to know this is wrong. Just like you don’t need to be a historian to know that World War II happened, and the Nazis were evil.  Abramson is known for his lengthy Twitter threads about Trump and the Russian collusion conspiracy that never happened. So, now that he decided to throw this garbage take on pardons into the air, ‘lawyer Twitter’ have been activated. Attorney Akiva Cohen saw this thread, describing it as “garbage in, garbage out.”

Twitchy regular Seth Abramson, in one of his patented long Twitter rants, is claiming that the “Pardon Clause prohibits using the pardon power to obstruct impeachments” and, thus, the recent pardons he just issued aren’t valid: The Pardon Clause prohibits using the pardon power to obstruct impeachments. Trump repeatedly opined rightly that Mueller s probe could lead to a referral for possible impeachment (which it did). The pardons he just gave are the ones he dangled to obstruct Mueller. See the issue? But, he’s wrong. From actual lawyer Akiva Cohen who explains how “The Pardon Clause does NOT LIMIT the PARDON power that way (he tweeted a correction to that last line adding “LIMIT”):

Republicans Filed Dumbest Election Lawsuit Yet, Lawyers Say

Jerry LambeDec 23rd, 2020, 12:19 pm The competition was fierce, but after dozens of meritless post-election lawsuits cycled in and out of U.S. courts since Nov. 3, Twitter Law appears to have found a winner. “Folks, this is the single dumbest election lawsuit of the entire cycle, and I’ve read kraken filings front to back,” wrote New York-based commercial litigator Akiva Cohen, announcing that the reigning conspiracy theorists of the “elite, strike force” legal team have been dethroned. Folks, this is the single dumbest election lawsuit of the entire cycle, and I ve read kraken filings front to back. https://t.co/PLHTf7HhbM
