Amathole District Municipality development agency Aspire’s former CEO Akhona Tinta has lost her urgent bid to have the East London high court reinstate her in her plum job.
Akhona Tinta, who was fired for the second time this week from her position as CEO of the Amathole District Municipality’s Aspire agency, has threatened to launch a delinquency application against the agency’s interim board of directors.
The Amathole District Municipality is pleading poverty again and looking at ways to solve the debacle over its development agency Aspire’s CEO, Akhona Tinta, after it emerged the municipality would have to keep paying her until April at least. Now both mayor Anele Ntsangani and Aspire board chair Sindile Toni have confirmed they might find other ways to resolve the issue while the court case continues.
