PETALING JAYA: The latest initiative by the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) to restructure accounts will not have much short-term impact on prospective homeowners, says Real Estate and Housing Developers Association (Rehda) president Datuk NK Tong.
PETALING JAYA: Employees Provident Fund (EPF) members, especially those looking to buy a house, will only decide to opt in for an initial amount in their Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3) as a last resort.
“I think, taking the desperate situation people get into, the EPF has found it necessary to make this arrangement; reality gets the better of what’s prudent,” he said.
