Maharashtra was reported from there; Centre’s experts to visit Belsar today.
The source of infection for the Zika virus case in Belsar village of
Purandar taluka the first in the state is likely to be the traders that regularly come to the village from other districts, according to sources.
Meanwhile, a team of experts from the Central government is slated to visit Purandar taluka on Wednesday.
State health officials declared the finding of the Zika virus case on Saturday. A 50-year-old woman from the Purandar taluka was reportedly found infected with the Zika virus on Friday. She was diagnosed with a co-infection of the said virus and chikungunya. However, officials claimed she had no symptoms and that she has recovered from the infection.
