welcome to this special edition of hannity. i m tammy bruce in for sean. it s the friday before christmas and the u.s. supreme court just offered up a giant lump of coal to biden s doj. in order to fast-track its case against former president trump out of washington, d.c., and get a verdict before the 2024 election. federal prosecutors frantically ask the court for an expedited review of trump s presidential immunity claims. today that request was flat out denied, and many experts are saying there is little chance this case will go to trial before the election. here now with the very latest, george washington law professor and fox news contributor jonathan turley. jonathan, your columns are always informative. i m always treating them out and telling people to read the whole thing. this was not necessarily a complete surprise, but give us your point of view with your legal background on what this really means and how good of a christmas gift this is to president trump
analyst, julia cayenne. good evening. sarah, bad news for the doj tonight. the judge, rejecting their request to continue the premiere lobe into classified documents while the review plays out. what more do you know? that s right. the judge, basically, set, one, i won t take the government on face value that these documents are classified. she wants a special master to review them. to, she says, she doesn t think it will cause irreparable harm for the justice department to press pause on their ability to review these documents. she said, you can still go forward with parts of their investigation. if you want to talk to witnesses about how these documents were moved, or storage, you can do that. when it comes to reviewing the documents, forensic may be presenting them before a grand jury, which is a helpful thing to do when you re in the middle of a criminal investigation. you can t do anything like that. she does say, they can brief congress, so, we are waiting to see if th

that mesmerizing 2004 democratic convention speech transformed barack obama from relative obscurity to a national star. in bipartisan or post partisan theme helped him stun hillary clinton and lift him to the white house, and then he met an opposition party that had no interest in across the aisle work. on and on. it s been won confrontation after another, government funding, the debt ceiling, you name it. and it s been matched with overheat party rhetoric. the question is if the experience of the past four plus years of watching barack obama inspire the nation with post partisan rhetoric and then watching washington descend into a state of hyperpolarization anyway has soured the country on the idea of post-partisanship.
