BATON ROUGE - All interstates in the Baton Rouge area are now fully opened as of Thursday afternoon.
As of Thursday (Feb. 18) morning, the state started to gradually reopen I-10, I-12 and I-110 in the Baton Rouge area.
Around 9:30 a.m., Louisiana s Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announced that I-110 North was open from I-10 to Scenic Hwy. I-110 South remains fully closed.
On Wednesday evening, State Police announced that I-10 and I-12 are fully open.
State Police are urging people to stay off the roads as they work an I-10 East crash that will close a portion of the roadway for most of the day.
According to Louisiana State Police, I-10 East at Hwy 61 (Airline Hwy) is currently closed due to a crash.
Significant accumulation of sleet and ice on bridges, overpasses, and roadways have resulted in travel conditions that DOTD strongly considers to be inadvisable.
DOTD is strongly urging motorists to avoid ALL unnecessary travel
Louisiana State Police reports that I-10 East near the crash site will be closed for at least six hours today and urge motorists to stay off the roads.

ST. AMANT - I-10 East reopened near Airline Highway Tuesday afternoon after an overturned vehicle destroyed a portion of the interstate s guardrail.
The crash happened shortly after 9 a.m. and shut down the roadway to traffic between US 61 and LA 641. The roadway was reopened shortly before 2 p.m..
