the impression, if you will, that it would be somewhere off the korean peninsula. this aircraft carrier group at the best of times, a show of force against north korea. the carrier has no offensive realistic capability against a north korean threat. it was part of the messaging of the military to send it up that way. but still it stopped off australia. surprising a lot of people that it would make a stop along wait. cnn having reported that several days ago, wolf. good point. pentagon meanwhile also responding to a new military encounter with russia. tell us about that. that was yesterday. russians for the first time in a couple of years sending their bombers off the coast of alaska. about a hundred miles off of alaska. u.s. maintains air patrols up there all the time. they saw them coming. two u.s. air force f 22 aircraft went out. met the russian planes. some other u.s. planes showed up. and they basically escorted the
roaches out. we have sewn things go to hell in a hand basket thought the enti entire planet we should have are you tone air patrols in that area. and help our countries in the region that are directly threatened by the chinese move. indonessia and phili malaysian. and help them with maratime equipment this they need to defend the territorial integrity and the freedom of the seas that is intregal part of any situation there. and send the message to the chinese. the chinese just announced they are building an aircraft carrier that would be be their second one. and we are standing by and watching the chinese act in an aggressive fashion in the region
greater than the recommendations for what our discussion would be, how you go after the towns in raqqa and ramadi. how do you see it? the no-fly zone would be put in an area where regime forces are attacking syrian people and also the rebel forces. that would permit the people to move into those areas and to be shielded. to protect them in that area you need some kind of a ground force. what would be recommended is the moderate syrian rebels to do that then how much of that do you need to protect them. that is number one. up number two, you have to have some air patrols flying every single day to make certain that no one will violate the airspace to bomb those areas. that is what secretary carter is referring to. people on the ground to protect the refugees that would be in that no-fly zone area, and also air power to protect the entire area. bill: we don t know what the president ultimately will decide, so we wait for that. he already changed strategy in afghanistan. you can see the
