Air India has been fined Rs 10 lakh by the aviation regulator DGCA for not reporting an incident last month when a man allegedly peed on a blanket on the vacant seat of a woman in a Paris-Delhi flight.
Air India is overhauling its in-flight alcohol service policy after two incidents of on-board passengers urinating inside the aircrafts left the airline red-faced.
Two incidents had occurred in the Air India flight. While one passenger who was caught smoking in the lavatory, was drunk and not adhering to the crew instructions; another passenger allegedly relieved himself on a vacant seat.
The AICCA highlighted some other factual errors in the internal committee report and revealed that the cabin crew did not depose before the NCW Committee .
Earlier, the Indian Pilots Guild had also stated that may take legal recourse or choose other options following the suspension of the Air India pilot s license.
