For the first time in the organization’s history, the Jefferson City Renegades will host a MINK League playoff game. The Renegades clinched at least the No. 2 seed in the South Division playoffs Friday night with their 8-6 victory against the Joplin Outlaws at Vivion Field.
The Jefferson City Renegades never trailed Thursday night and ran away with a 16-6 run-rule victory in eight innings against the Nevada Griffons in MINK League play. It was the eighth and final regular-season matchup between the South Division foes, with the Renegades finishing 7-1 against the Griffons.

The Renegades got that Monday night at Vivion Field in Game 2 of their doubleheader against the Sedalia Bombers. After a late-inning rally sent the Bombers to an 8-3 victory in Game 1, Jefferson City rebounded late in Game 2 to tie the contest and sent it to extra innings before walking off a 5-4 win to split the twinbill.
